TL;DR

Android Team Lead (Kotlin/Java/AI): Owning Android development for a home design platform used by more than 100 million users with an accent on modular architecture, graphics, multiplayer technology, and AI-powered design features. Focus on making technical decisions, building complex 2D/3D and AI functionality, mentoring developers, and maintaining high standards for code quality and testing.

Location: Remote for specialists who have already relocated from Russia or Belarus. Offline company events take place in Lithuania.

What you will do

Own Android development, understand the existing codebase, and deliver new product features.
Select technologies and technical approaches based on product needs and long-term maintainability.
Build features across custom views, APIs, analytics, payments, authentication, 2D/3D graphics, VR, AI, and CRDT-based functionality.
Develop a modular codebase, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering and testing standards.
Help solve technical problems, mentor developers, provide feedback, and support hiring as the team grows.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams while influencing product and technology decisions.

Requirements

7+ years of Android development experience, including leadership experience.
Extensive experience with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack, Dagger, and common Android libraries.
Experience with SQL, SQLite, Room, Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava, REST APIs, JSON, XML, Git, and Protobuf.
Strong knowledge of software design, clean code, code quality, testing, and technical trade-offs.
Experience with in-app payments and subscriptions, plus the ability to mentor developers and communicate clearly.
Fluent English required.

Nice to have

Experience with 2D/3D graphics using Canvas, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Google Filament.
Visa sponsorship is available for candidates with primary residence and work authorization.
