AVS Digital Architect Sr. Leader - International (Digital Health)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; travel up to 25–30% and occasional after-hours support required.

What you will do

• Set the regional vision, priorities, operating rhythm, ownership model, and execution plans for Digital Architects, Project Managers, and technical specialists.
• Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team while coordinating handoffs, escalations, and documentation.
• Own AVS integration for connected medical devices, legacy and Unity platforms, software, and SaaS/SaMD offerings.
• Design customer connectivity and interoperability solutions involving TCP/IP, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, EHR/EMR, PACS, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and servers.
• Oversee technical surveys, project plans, readiness documentation, installation, risk and change management, status reporting, and customer handoffs.
• Define KPIs and OKRs, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement with Commercial, Service, Clinical, Legal, R&D, Product Engineering, IT, Security/Privacy, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 7 years of experience leading technical, architecture, project delivery, or cross-functional digital integration teams; 10+ years in IT platforms, healthcare technology, or systems integration is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience working with healthcare customers and delivering integrations in complex customer environments.
• Experience with medical device or healthcare IT environments, customer service, customer satisfaction, contractual commitments, project planning, risk and issue management, change management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Fluent English required.
• Based in Barcelona, Spain, with travel up to 25–30% and occasional after-hours support.

Nice to have

• Certifications or experience in networking, interoperability, AI, CISCO, AWS, DICOM, or HL7.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project and program management certification.
• Experience with GDPR, BAA, HIPAA, HITECH, network security, data privacy, FHIR, EHR/EMR, PACS, firewalls, VPNs, and servers.
• Spanish, French, Portuguese, or German language skills.
