Mid Level Interaction Designer (GDS)

Location: Remote, United Kingdom; candidates must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do

• Deliver interaction design across a substantial GDS project.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams on complex, sensitive, and fast-moving service challenges.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Conduct usability testing and use research evidence to shape outcomes for public users.
• Apply accessibility and digital inclusion principles to public-facing services.

Requirements

• Strong experience in interaction design or UX design.
• Experience with NHS, GDS, or GOV.UK projects.
• Strong Figma and prototyping skills, including GOV.UK/NHS toolkits and HTML-based prototyping.
• Hands-on experience with Heroku, user journeys, wireframes, and usability testing.
• Good understanding of WCAG and experience working in agile teams.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence is required.
