TL;DR
Stat & Tax Senior Accountant (Statutory Reporting/Tax Compliance): Preparing statutory financial statements, coordinating external audits, and managing corporate tax compliance with an accent on local reporting requirements, US GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls. Focus on reviewing financial data, resolving audit findings, supporting tax audits, and driving automation and process improvements.

What you will do

  • Prepare statutory financial statements, disclosures, notes, cash flow statements, and regulatory filings.
  • Lead external audit coordination, manage the Prepared By Client process, and support the resolution of audit findings.
  • Coordinate corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax provision, deferred tax, and tax audit activities.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, local regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with finance teams, controllers, auditors, and tax agents while supporting standardization, automation, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in statutory reporting, tax compliance, external audit, or financial accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing statutory audits and tax compliance processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as JDE and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a multinational corporation, shared services environment, or audit firm.
  • Experience with BlackLine and reporting tools.
