TL;DR
Director, Rocket Growth FP&A (E-commerce): Driving profitability management, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for Coupang’s fast-growing Rocket Growth business with an accent on inventory loss control, logistics costs, unit economics, and executive decision support. Focus on building scalable financial frameworks, analyzing performance drivers across sellers and products, and leading corrective actions that improve sustainable growth.

What you will do

  • Drive profitability management across revenue drivers, seller economics, fulfillment costs, and investment trade-offs.
  • Partner with business, operations, supply chain, and product leaders to develop financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Lead monthly forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and Plan vs. Actual variance analysis.
  • Manage oversight of inventory-related losses, strengthen controls, and implement loss-reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze logistics, fulfillment, returns, seller cohorts, product categories, pricing structures, and customer behavior to improve unit economics.
  • Build scalable financial frameworks, reporting infrastructure, and analytical tools for executive decision support.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, primarily in FP&A and corporate finance within global technology, large-scale services, e-commerce, or high-growth industries.
  • 5+ years of team management experience and direct partnership with senior management.
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise or major business-unit P&Ls and driving capital deployment.
  • Ability to translate complex data analytics into clear business narratives for non-finance executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • MBA or master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or CFA qualification.
  • Experience in online advertising.
  • Experience in a multinational company with exposure to Asia.
