VP of Systems Engineering (AI Infrastructure) - West Coast

Location: Western United States; travel throughout the Western U.S. required

What you will do

• Lead the Systems Engineering organization across the Western U.S. through first-line SE managers and their teams.
• Build the leadership bench by recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Partner with Sales leadership to define regional strategy, prioritize accounts, build pipeline, and win net-new enterprise customers.
• Set standards for technical discovery, full-stack solution architecture, competitive positioning, proofs of concept, executive engagement, and technical deal execution.
• Engage directly in strategic opportunities involving complex architecture, executive alignment, and competitive differentiation.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, the CTO Office, Alliances, Customer Success, and Support to scale repeatable technical sales motions.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in Systems Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Field Architecture, or technical pre-sales.
• Proven second-line leadership experience managing and developing SE managers.
• Experience building high-performing technical field organizations in enterprise infrastructure, data platforms, cloud, or AI.
• Deep technical credibility across distributed storage, NFS, SMB, S3, NVMe/NVMe-oF, Ethernet, RDMA/RoCE, InfiniBand, Linux, Kubernetes, containers, cloud platforms, and GPU infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Spark, Iceberg, Delta Lake, Trino, Kafka, GPU infrastructure, and large-scale AI training and inference environments.
• Strong executive presence, solution-selling expertise, recruiting ability, and willingness to travel throughout the Western U.S.
