TL;DR
SAP Functional Consultant (SAP/application modernization): Designing and deploying tailored enterprise application solutions for customers with an accent on requirements analysis, packaged SaaS implementation, and application migration. Focus on translating stakeholder needs into functional specifications, coordinating architecture and development work, and solving compatibility, data conversion, and modernization challenges.

What you will do
- Assess customer needs and document requirements for new applications and upgrades.
- Translate stakeholder needs into functional and nonfunctional specifications, use cases, traceability documents, and process flows.
- Guide application migration, modernization, implementation, and deployment initiatives.
- Help customers select and customize packaged solutions, including SAP and other SaaS applications.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, project managers, vendors, and cross-functional technical specialists.
- Analyze compatibility, data conversion, training, cost, schedule, and quality considerations for solution design and implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in application development and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience in application migration and modernization.
- 5+ years of experience with application architecture, middleware, and data.
- Knowledge of BI, database principles, programming fundamentals, SQL, hardware and software, operating systems, and networking.
- Strong technical knowledge of Agile methods, service architecture, and enterprise cloud integration.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing SaaS applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite, NetSuite, Infor, Unit4, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, or Lawson.
- Experience with application modernization tools such as CAST.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps processes.
- Experience quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
