Staff Engineer (Mobile): Developing and maintaining residential and commercial iOS, Android, and web platforms for the myQ connectivity solution with an accent on mobile architecture, large-scale software design, and cross-functional delivery. Focus on leading multiple Scrum teams, driving architectural and process changes, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-complexity features with Swift or Kotlin.
Location: Remote - California, United States
Salary: $126,198–$215,291 per year, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact across multiple Scrum teams delivering mobile application features.
- Assess, scope, and manage changes across iOS, Android, web, middleware, DevOps, and firmware platforms.
- Design and develop large-scale, high-complexity software in collaboration with architects and senior engineers.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, pull requests, process improvements, and production releases.
- Mentor junior and senior engineers and lead offshore teams in designing and developing features.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations, Customer Service, Infrastructure, Database, and Middleware teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- For iOS: 7+ years of native Swift experience; for Android: 7+ years of native Kotlin experience.
- Experience with unit testing, Git, technical documentation, technical interviews, and architectural or process changes.
- Expertise in MVC and MVVM UI patterns, RESTful services, JSON, and CI/CD tools and deployment processes.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum, with the ability to lead high-complexity projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, estimation, planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Mobile development bootcamp, organized training, or relevant certifications.
- Experience leading changes on a mobile platform outside the primary area of expertise.
