Salary: $251,000–$310,000 USD annual base salary

What you will do
- Lead an applied machine learning team building evaluation frameworks, infrastructure, and AI-powered tools for World Model understanding.
- Set technical direction and provide hands-on technical guidance to the engineering team.
- Design ML-driven metrics and evaluation frameworks that identify anomalies and edge cases across large datasets.
- Define the technical direction for World Model evaluation and translate modeling challenges into business objectives with Product and Program managers.
- Build internal AI-powered tools that make model analysis and evaluation workflows faster and more automated.
- Partner with Onboard, Research, Simulation, and senior technical teams to deploy solutions into production-critical autonomous driving systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience managing and guiding engineering teams of 5–10 people.
- 7+ years of experience building, deploying, and optimizing production machine learning systems.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python and/or C++.
- Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow, plus deep learning, transformers, and large-scale model deployment.
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks for complex systems and processing large-scale data.
Nice to have
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience training or evaluating large-scale generative models, including reinforcement learning, diffusion, World Models, 3D generative models, or video generation.
- Experience with large GPU/TPU clusters, large-scale data processing, and MLOps systems.
- Experience building AI-powered products or internal developer tools that automate complex workflows.
