TL;DR
Reliability Engineering Technician I (Medtech) (Mechanical/System Testing): Supporting design verification, mechanical and system testing, troubleshooting, and reliability testing for diabetes-care products with an accent on experimental data collection, test equipment, calibration, and documentation. Focus on analyzing experiments, isolating equipment faults, maintaining lab readiness, and reporting compliance with specifications and safety requirements.
Location: On-site five days a week at the Del Mar HQ office, California; 2nd shift, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
Salary: $22–$24 per hour.

What you will do
- Support design verification, mechanical, system, and ongoing reliability testing.
- Perform testing, checkout, troubleshooting, operational tests, and fault isolation using schematics, diagrams, and defined procedures.
- Conduct experiments, analyze results, organize data, and prepare technical reports and experimental summaries.
- Assist with the design, construction, testing, and checkout of test equipment.
- Record test data, review results against specifications, and report abnormalities.
- Maintain test-material inventory, equipment calibration, preventive-maintenance records, and department documentation.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow procedures and flow diagrams.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including recommendations regarding technical issues.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and complete work on time with minimal errors.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic Windows file-navigation knowledge.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- High school diploma.
- Associate degree in a technical field or two years of equivalent experience.
- At least one year of experience in an engineering environment.
- Experience with manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment and specialized test apparatus.
