Professional Services Engineer (Storage)

Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid working environment with in-office and/or in-person expectations

What you will do

• Provide Level 3 support for Platform and Managed Services customers in a global 24x7 Storage Operations team.
• Respond to incidents and service requests and manage problem, change, and configuration processes.
• Deploy, administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and upgrade hirify.global storage environments, including ONTAP, CDOT, and 7-Mode.
• Implement infrastructure improvements, storage backup, replication, security hardening, and disaster-recovery testing.
• Act as a lead resource and escalation point for delivery teams while tracking project status.
• Deliver customer training through knowledge transfer sessions and structured demonstrations.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Typically 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6+ years with a master's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with hirify.global storage, ONTAP, storage protocols, SAN and NAS technologies, upgrades, monitoring, replication, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid storage solutions, Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, networking, and object storage APIs such as S3.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and outsourcing, managed services, and cloud environments.
• Basic understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies and their use in troubleshooting, documentation, and operational efficiency.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift, OpenStack, LogicMonitor, VMware vSphere, Commvault, FlexPod, Cisco UCS, or IBM BladeCenter.
• Knowledge of GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• hirify.global or cloud certifications, including Hybrid Cloud Administrator or Implementation Engineer credentials.
