Risk Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: Colombia; hybrid work with the option to work remotely

hirify.global is launching a new financial business line in Colombia and building its Risk data science function from the ground up.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own end-to-end machine learning models supporting credit risk decisions.
• Manage the full model lifecycle, including feature engineering, development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
• Build predictive models for adjacent functions, including loan churn and attrition prediction and reserve calculations.
• Establish production model management practices that maintain stability and reliability as data volume grows.
• Collaborate with Risk Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Risk-tech strategy teams on model implementation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on, production-level Data Science experience.
• Experience across the full machine learning model lifecycle, including development, deployment, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Strong foundations in machine learning algorithms, feature engineering, and model development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Airflow, Git, BI, and Streamlit.
• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field from a top technical university.
• English at B1 level or higher and the ability to work independently and own problems end-to-end.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Understanding of how risk decisions are embedded in financial products.
