Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Location: Remote within the United States; eligibility to work in the United States is required. Visa sponsorship or assistance with obtaining work eligibility is not available.

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 per year, with bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Assess adolescent and adult patients’ mental and physical health and diagnose psychiatric and mental health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct individual psychotherapy, prescribe psychotropic medications including controlled substances, and educate patients and families about treatment.
• Order diagnostic tests, monitor medication use and side effects, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Manage difficult patient interactions, including verbal de-escalation, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation in the EHR while following HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, state regulations, and national standards of care.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license.
• Experience treating adults with general mental health conditions or severe mental illness, including patients aged 13 and older across the lifespan.
• Experience in addiction and mental health care, dual diagnoses, motivational interviewing, treatment planning, and comprehensive assessments.
• Experience with EHRs, timely clinical documentation, telehealth software, and video communication.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Clinicians with a Florida or New York license must hold and maintain an active DEA registration.

Nice to have

• Spanish proficiency; additional compensation is available for providers fluent in Spanish.
• Previous telehealth experience.
• Previous experience in the community mental health sector.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
