Frontend Design Engineer

Location: London, UK; on-site and in person in Shoreditch

hirify.global builds AI-powered software workflows for certification bodies, notified bodies, and inspection companies, replacing document-heavy processes with tools for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.

What you will do

• Own the interface for technical reviewers working with complex certification files and regulatory data.
• Design and build production interfaces across layout, typography, interaction, motion, and React.
• Develop and maintain the underlying design system and application state and data flows.
• Design workflows for reviewing findings and correcting inaccurate AI output.
• Observe real users, validate workflows in practice, and improve the product based on their work.
• Ship production code from the first week and take ownership of product surface area alongside the founders.

Requirements

• Experience designing and building interfaces used by people in their daily work.
• Strong judgement in typography, spacing, motion, hierarchy, and visual detail.
• Ability to own design, frontend implementation, and the state and data behind the interface.
• Experience designing for dense expert workflows with complex data and hundreds of fields.
• Strength in frontend or design engineering; experience with React, Svelte, Vue, or another modern framework is relevant.
• Ability to work on-site in London, including in-person work in Shoreditch.

Nice to have

• Design engineering or frontend experience at a product company such as Linear, Vercel, Notion, or Figma.
• Experience building and maintaining a design system.
• Experience designing interfaces for reviewing or correcting AI output.
• Founder, founding-team, or early-stage startup experience.
