Salary: $21.99–$27.49 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

hirify.global’s Office of Sponsored Programs administers research proposals, external funding awards, regulatory requirements, and financial compliance.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the setup, documentation, reconciliation, closeout, and archiving of new sponsored-program awards and matching funds.
  • Monitor expenditures and budgets to ensure compliance with sponsor, federal, state, and university requirements.
  • Process accounts payable, payroll corrections, personnel action forms, and financial approvals for sponsored-program and facilities and administrative funds.
  • Review subrecipient invoices, supporting documentation, cost-share commitments, budgets, financial risks, and allowable costs.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators, administrators, subaward managers, and subrecipients to resolve discrepancies, invoice questions, and payment issues.
  • Maintain detailed records and monitoring documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressively responsible experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience using personal computers and software including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures, data analysis, policy interpretation, and accurate confidential record processing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, organization, judgment, and follow-through skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SCT Banner, Banner Web, and financial reporting software in a large organization.
  • Experience with higher-education auditing and operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance.
  • Experience working with university administrators, faculty, staff, students, and funding agencies.
