TL;DR
Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Engineer (EE/Test) (Manufacturing and Analytical Instrumentation): Designing and industrializing scalable manufacturing and production test solutions for mechanical, mechatronic, and electronic assemblies with an accent on new product introduction, technology transfer, and platform standardization. Focus on leading prototype ramps, developing qualification strategies, investigating complex technical issues, and improving assembly, calibration, and testing architectures.
Location: Little Falls, Delaware (Wilmington), United States, with remote support for instrument products at sites in Chicopee, Massachusetts and Winooski, Vermont. Occasional travel required.
Salary: $103,200–$161,250 per year, plus bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do
- Lead production test planning and contribute to electronics design evaluation, qualification, and root cause analysis during new product introduction.
- Translate product innovation into scalable, high-performance manufacturing solutions for mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, modules, and complete products.
- Apply Design-for-Excellence principles across cost, manufacturability, quality, and automation.
- Collaborate with R&D on product development, validation, manufacturability readiness, and technology transfer.
- Lead prototype ramp-up, reliability validation, and launch-readiness evaluations.
- Own critical platform technology processes, lead corrective actions, and support scalable architectures for assembly, calibration, and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in a comparable engineering role, ideally including test engineering.
- Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
- Experience with technical drawings, CAD tools, PCBA design, manufacturing, and qualification processes.
- Strong understanding of complex technical systems and development and manufacturing processes.
- Project management, organizational, analytical, teamwork, and technical decision-making skills.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Chemistry and Physics.
- Experience with FMEA, DoE, DfX, Value Engineering, or similar methods.
