Backend Developer (Ruby)

Location: Work from home, the office, or a mix of both.

hirify.global is a globally recognized game development studio creating online casino games and supporting their integration into its ecosystem.

What you will do

• Develop and improve the technical infrastructure of the Publishing team.
• Automate publishing workflows with scripts, checks, monitoring, alerts, and internal tools.
• Support external studios with technical integrations, deployments, and production issues.
• Investigate incidents across applications, infrastructure, and integrations, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
• Perform SRE-related work to improve the reliability and stability of published games.
• Review games before release and identify technical issues and potential vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience, preferably with Ruby.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and engineering problem-solving skills.
• Experience with application deployment, production environments, unfamiliar systems, and non-trivial technical issues.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and effective everyday use of them.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external developers.
• Advanced Russian and intermediate English or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps, SRE practices, and infrastructure-related tasks.
• Frontend development experience or a strong understanding of frontend applications.
• Experience working with multiple programming languages.
