TL;DR
Senior AI Software Engineer (C#/.NET, Python, NLP/LLM): Designing and maintaining production-ready software and machine learning pipelines for AI solutions with an accent on generative AI, NLP, model deployment, and cloud platforms. Focus on fine-tuning and optimizing pretrained models, building secure microservices with Docker and Kubernetes, and translating business requirements into functional AI applications.
Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid
Salary: €28,000–€52,000 per year

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain efficient C#/.NET applications alongside production-ready machine learning pipelines.
- Develop AI/ML solutions, particularly for natural language processing and large language models.
- Fine-tune, deploy, and optimize pretrained models for specific product use cases.
- Build cloud-based microservices and deploy custom models using Azure or AWS.
- Create proofs of concept for R&D projects and analyze complex datasets.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, review code, mentor colleagues, and manage technical debt and client issues according to SLAs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
- At least 2 years of experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, GPT, and Transformers.
- Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent English and availability for hybrid work in Porto, Portugal; knowledge of trusted AI, API security, and data privacy.
