Head of Exchange Infrastructure

What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the exchange layer, including the matching engine, core infrastructure, third-party custody, algo engine, and API engine.
• Lead and develop a team of four to five product managers while setting product standards across the platform.
• Consolidate multiple matching engines into one, beginning with US derivatives, followed by international derivatives and spot markets.
• Build an interface-agnostic platform that can support every product team and interface.
• Define and manage success metrics including p99 latency, throughput, uptime, and resiliency.
• Coordinate migration and account infrastructure with engineering, risk, credit infrastructure, compliance, and other product teams without disrupting live markets.

Requirements

• Senior product leadership experience in exchange, trading, or high-performance platforms.
• Experience managing and developing product managers and working as a player-coach.
• Strong product vision, roadmap planning, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Deep understanding of matching engine and market data architecture, including low-latency tradeoffs.
• Experience building platforms for internal customers and distinguishing platform capabilities from bespoke solutions.
• Engineering background with experience building or operating high-performance systems.

Nice to have

• Experience across both spot and derivatives venues.
• Experience at a crypto exchange with comparable scale, volume, and uptime requirements.
• Experience building platform roadmaps integrated with adjacent product organizations.
