SQL Analyst (HR Tech): Investigating data inconsistencies and system behavior in the HRnet HR information system with an accent on SQL analysis, database debugging, and customer support. Location: Zagreb, Croatia; hybrid working model

provides Payroll and HR services and develops HRnet, a web-based Human Resources Information System covering Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Talent Management, Travel Management, and other HR modules.
What you will do
- Investigate data inconsistencies and unexpected system behavior in production-related environments.
- Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries to analyze and validate data.
- Identify root causes and own investigations from the initial signal through resolution.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, implementation, and development teams on complex issues.
- Detect recurring patterns, propose structural improvements, and perform data control and verification activities.
- Guide customers through corrective actions and explain technical findings clearly.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and query debugging.
- Comfort working with large datasets and relational databases.
- Independent investigation skills, attention to detail, persistence, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical findings and solutions.
- Fluent Croatian or Serbian and English required.
Nice to have
- Experience with MS SQL.
- Experience working with production systems or live environments.
- Familiarity with APIs, logs, basic scripting, and application-database interactions.
