What you will do
- Own the Nigeria entity's monthly management reporting pack and executive commentary.
- Manage the end-to-end monthly close, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany accounting, depreciation, and foreign exchange.
- Monitor the loan book, analyse repayment behaviour by cohort, and manage provisioning and bad-debt trends through the IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss model.
- Lead treasury, compliance, statutory, regulatory, audit, and funding documentation processes.
- Identify automation opportunities, strengthen financial controls, and support IFRS 16, IAS 21, revenue-recognition, and IFRS 18 readiness.
- Partner with commercial leadership on unit economics, product launches, pricing, supply decisions, and board-level financial cases.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant through ICAN, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in finance management or a senior finance role with hands-on ownership of statutory and management reporting cycles.
- Deep applied IFRS knowledge, particularly IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 21, and revenue recognition.
- End-to-end audit experience, including file preparation and responding to auditor queries.
- Strong financial modelling and communication skills, including complex multi-scenario modelling in Excel.
- Ability to operate across strategic and operational finance in a rapidly scaling lending business.

- Big Four training from PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG.
- Working knowledge of the Nigerian fintech, lending, or asset-financing sector.
