Area Product Owner, Trading - Equities (Assistant Vice President) (Equities Trading/FIX): Supporting the delivery and operation of equities trading applications and platforms with an accent on functional analysis, broker connectivity, and trade-flow validation. Focus on translating business requirements into product specifications, analysing FIX messages and order-routing workflows, and coordinating testing, incident resolution, and governance.

What you will do
- Gather and document requirements from Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Support backlog management, sprint planning, prioritisation, releases, and delivery coordination.
- Support broker onboarding and FIX connectivity across OMS and EMS platforms, including message-flow and order-routing analysis.
- Coordinate system, integration, and user acceptance testing, defect triage, and production issue resolution.
- Prepare product reporting, governance updates, audit documentation, operational procedures, and risk tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, or Trading Technology support.
- Experience producing business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Understanding of equities trading workflows, OMS/EMS platforms, broker connectivity, FIX Protocol messaging, and electronic trading.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments, with strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, and reporting tools, with excellent verbal and written communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with Equities, Electronic Trading, OMS, or EMS platforms.
- Knowledge of FIX message structures, trade lifecycle management, order-routing workflows, and financial-market regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and UAT processes.
- Agile, Scrum, Product Owner, Business Analysis, or Capital Markets certification.
