What you will do

• Act as the primary technical contact for local partners and translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain webpages and web applications for partner and business needs.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a small distributed engineering team across regions.
• Collaborate with regional business, business development, and product stakeholders on technical delivery.
• Drive code quality, delivery timelines, engineering practices, and timely resolution of technical issues.
• Balance hands-on development, code reviews, partner meetings, and people leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technical or engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading engineers or engineering teams.
• Fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English is required.
• Experience developing and maintaining webpages or web applications.
• Experience managing distributed or cross-regional teams.
• Strong communication skills and experience gathering requirements directly from local partners.

Nice to have

• Experience in adtech or offer monetization platforms.
• Background in payments, gaming, or digital commerce.
• Experience with global or cross-functional engineering organizations.
