Associate Director, Full-stack Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: United States; based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex or ready to relocate immediately, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days onsite per week at the Frisco, TX Agentic AI Lab. Willingness to travel and work at customer premises may be required.

Salary: $143,640–$273,000 annually, depending on geography, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact enterprise AI engagements and translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Build responsive frontend interfaces with React, Angular, or Vue, including generative UI elements and real-time streaming outputs.
• Develop backend APIs, microservices, and data pipelines using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.
• Design and deploy multi-agent orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, vector search systems, and enterprise knowledge solutions.
• Optimize LLM API performance, token latency, prompt routing, context limits, application performance, and operating costs.
• Own technical delivery from scoping through deployment, collaborate with client stakeholders, and contribute deployment learnings to shared platforms.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex or ready to relocate immediately to work onsite in Frisco, Texas three days per week.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript backend skills.
• Production experience with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or comparable modern AI frameworks and orchestrators.
• Experience building modern frontend applications with React, Angular, or Vue, including streaming data or real-time query responses.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge, data engineering experience with Pandas and Spark, and familiarity with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Experience with LiteLLM, Langfuse, Temporal, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Hugging Face, prompt tuning, model fine-tuning, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Business acumen and experience communicating scalable AI solutions to executive stakeholders.
• Active cloud or AI certifications and a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
