Director, Site Reliability (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States of America; mostly on-site. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $244,375–$316,250 base salary annually for US locations, plus possible incentive compensation and long-term equity participation.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end production release, deployment, verification, rollback, and change management across North American and European environments.
• Maintain the operational and regulatory control framework covering database auditing, privileged access, capacity, and market conduct.
• Lead and develop a senior team spanning site reliability engineering and database administration while coordinating with software engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Operate and evolve hybrid on-premises and AWS production environments, including migration of workloads to cloud where appropriate.
• Direct incident diagnosis, recovery, alert triage, post-incident reviews, and remediation for production events.
• Lead disaster recovery testing, backup and restore verification, runbook maintenance, and upgrades across runtime, database, and infrastructure layers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in production operations, technical operations, or release engineering.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
• 5+ years leading technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Hands-on experience with production reliability, release management, incident response, disaster recovery, and hybrid infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with an alternative trading system, exchange, or broker-dealer.
