Security Analyst Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Wallops Island, Virginia, United States; full-time, on-site work for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027.

Salary: $22 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support security education, intelligence and risk assessments, network infrastructure research, and physical security initiatives.
• Help protect personnel, assets, and intellectual property through physical security, program security, and enterprise risk management programs.
• Work with a mentor and security department employees to apply industry concepts to real challenges.
• Lead development projects, provide progress updates, and collaborate across teams to deliver results.
• Participate in mentor meetings, technical talks, and professional networking events.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in criminal justice, national security, emergency management, or a related field.
• At least one semester of study remaining after the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• At least 3 months of general work experience, including internships or personal/team projects.
• Ability to work full-time on site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
• For U.S. office work, must meet applicable ITAR access requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Military experience, active-duty or reserve service, or ROTC experience.
• Experience in the aerospace or technology industry.
