What you will do
- Build and maintain faculty, alumni, employer, community, and university partnerships to create experiential learning, Work-Learn, Co-op, and research opportunities.
- Provide academic and non-academic advising, orientation, transition support, and referrals for Chinese incoming cohorts, including 3+2 and 2+2 articulation students.
- Develop student development, career-readiness, job-readiness, and academic advising programs using retention, placement, and academic outcomes data.
- Maintain the AFRC website, publish institutional and program updates, manage digital content, and strengthen the centre's brand presence.
- Lead grant application and funding development activities, build the funding pipeline, and manage post-award compliance, financial monitoring, and reporting.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least four years of related experience, including two years in business analysis or project management, or an equivalent combination.
- Experience in project management, partnership development, stakeholder engagement, or international education.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to support students and stakeholders across diverse cultural and organizational environments and manage competing priorities independently.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and respect for diverse perspectives.
Nice to have
- Master's degree and experience with international student support, cross-cultural programming, grant proposals, sponsored projects, or research funding.
- Oral and written fluency in English and Mandarin, plus knowledge of Chinese higher education systems and international articulation pathways.
- Experience with website administration, social media, digital communications, CRM systems, student information systems, Microsoft Office, or Workday.
- Knowledge of forestry, natural resources, sustainability, climate change, environmental management, or related sectors.
