Test Engineer (DoD Software Testing)

Location: Hybrid in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States; fully remote candidates may be considered with increased travel. Travel may be required 1–2 times per month to customer sites, subcontractor locations, and company offices, with up to 5% travel.

What you will do

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases covering system functionality, data integrity, and end-to-end business processes.
• Maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Eggplant, Selenium, Katalon, or equivalent technologies.
• Support validation across integrated PLM, ERP, and interface or data exchange systems.
• Coordinate smoke, system, functional, regression, and other internal testing activities.
• Produce Objective Quality Evidence artifacts and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects for DoD compliance.
• Analyze results, track defects, report status, and collaborate with development, QA, IT, and business teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and tools such as Selenium, Katalon, Eggplant, Python, XML, or JSON.
• Experience with PLM platforms such as Windchill, Teamcenter, or Enovia, or comparable enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of test planning, execution, documentation, and Objective Quality Evidence aligned with DoD standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint, plus strong communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold, or be able to obtain and maintain, a U.S. government personnel security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with DoD or federal SDLC processes, RMF, ATO, STIG compliance, and DoD documentation standards.
• Exposure to MBSE, MBT, Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments, Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest.
• Security+ or another DoD 8570-compliant certification.
