Level Designer (Unreal Engine)

Location: Hybrid work in Warsaw or Kraków, Poland

What you will do

• Own the role of levels within the overall game experience according to the creative director’s vision.
• Create, script, build, and refine 3D level layouts to final quality using game editors.
• Place and trigger interactive entities, obstacles, and objects to create engaging gameplay.
• Collaborate with level artists and other disciplines to align gameplay, spaces, and visual elements.
• Develop prototypes, scenarios, scripted events, gameplay balance, pacing, and beat charts.
• Improve levels through playtesting, feedback analysis, accessibility work, and difficulty tuning.

Requirements

• Experience in level design and mastery of 3D level design tools.
• Strong knowledge of game editors, including Unreal Engine 4/5.
• Creative skills and strong attention to creative and technical quality and detail.
• Understanding of gameplay density and spatial design, with the ability to collaborate with level artists.
• Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Strong knowledge of the video game industry and the ability to assess gameplay from the player’s perspective.
