EMC/EMI Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Provide EMC/EMI design guidance for spacecraft systems and subsystems.
• Collaborate with system engineers, hardware designers, and other stakeholders to integrate EMC/EMI considerations throughout product development.
• Review schematics, layouts, and design documentation to identify electromagnetic compatibility and interference risks.
• Develop and execute pre-compliance and compliance EMC/EMI test plans and procedures.
• Analyze test data, identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and prepare technical reports.
• Maintain EMC/EMI documentation and provide technical support and training on mitigation techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of EMC/EMI engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Strong knowledge of EMC/EMI principles, test methods, and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with EMC/EMI standards including MIL-STD-461, CISPR, and DO-160.
• Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, EMI receivers, and other EMC/EMI testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and project-prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with spacecraft systems and subsystems.
• Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity in relation to EMC/EMI.
• Experience with EMC/EMI simulation tools.
