Security Operations Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Conduct application and infrastructure security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and proactive research into emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Support IT departments and business functions in implementing information security controls and managing technology-related risks.
• Contribute to security architecture for infrastructure and applications, threat modelling, operational security guideline reviews, and secure project delivery.
• Monitor the effectiveness of controls covering patching, vulnerability management, lifecycle management, external connections, security event monitoring, compliance monitoring, penetration testing, and change management.
• Investigate security incidents, coordinate response from initiation through resolution, document activities, and lead lessons-learned recommendations.
• Perform cyber intelligence analysis, investigate malware and attack activity, and recommend mitigation actions.

Requirements

• Experience in security operations, network engineering, and systems administration.
• Knowledge of security architecture, malware, penetration testing, network and application architecture, Unix, Cisco, Wintel, cloud security, CI/CD, and pipelines.
• Knowledge of information security policies, procedures, SDLC, Static Application Security Testing, and Software Composition Analysis tools.
• Understanding of OWASP and ISO 27001/27002 security standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, time management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• English proficiency above medium level required for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration.
