Team Lead, Control

What you will do

• Lead and grow software development teams, including recruitment, retention, mentoring, and career development.
• Own knowledge domains within the product control plane.
• Lead the design and architecture of critical product features.
• Work with product management to prioritize work and understand business value.
• Improve team productivity, engineering practices, code quality, and collaborative code reviews.
• Own delivery quality and provide direct and matrix management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing software development teams.
• 5+ years of experience developing in C/C++.
• Experience developing on Linux, including low-level user-mode operating system knowledge.
• Experience with containers.
• A record of excellence in previous roles.

Nice to have

• Experience in storage, databases, infrastructure, or control planes for appliances.
• Experience with AWS or other public clouds.
• Experience with complex, large-scale, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with SMB, NFS, S3, SSD, NVMe, Linux filesystems, clustered environments, and container design.
• Experience leading a development group or managing remote employees overseas.
