Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; on-site, with four days per week in the Lisbon office

Salary: €55,000–€75,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end features across web applications and backend services.
• Build secure, performant, scalable solutions with a strong focus on user experience.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering designs, task breakdowns, and deliverable plans.
• Write unit, integration, acceptance, and other automated tests.
• Manage and debug features from testing environments through production.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, full-stack, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

• Professional experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building modern web applications and REST APIs or services.
• Experience integrating automated testing into the development lifecycle.
• Ability to write clean, readable, properly tested code with attention to detail.
• Interest in client-facing projects, including requirements scoping and deliverable definition.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of banking or finance.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers, Golang or Python, databases, Kubernetes, or microservice architectures.
• Understanding of UX and UI principles, Figma, UI frameworks, or visual design.
