Senior Scientist Ⅱ, DSP (Preparative Purification)

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and scale preparative HPLC purification methods.
• Apply reverse-phase and normal-phase chromatography, including column screening, loading optimization, gradient development, recovery improvement, and productivity enhancement.
• Design purification strategies for complex small molecules, ADC drug-linkers, payloads, and highly functionalized intermediates.
• Separate closely related impurities, regioisomers, diastereomers, residual starting materials, and by-products.
• Transfer purification processes from laboratory scale to pilot and GMP manufacturing scale.
• Collaborate with Process Chemistry, Analytical Development, and Manufacturing teams as a purification subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience, in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in preparative HPLC development, optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up.
• Expertise in reverse-phase and normal-phase chromatography.
• Experience developing robust and scalable purification processes while balancing purity, yield, productivity, cost, and manufacturability.
• Strong English communication skills at CET-6 ≥ 500, EF ≥ B2, or an equivalent level.
• Ability to communicate with global colleagues and customers and prepare technical documents in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with ADC drug-linkers, cytotoxic payloads, highly potent compounds, or other complex small molecules.
• Experience with downstream process development and scale-up in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience supporting kilogram-scale development, GMP manufacturing, or technology transfer.
• Experience serving as a purification subject matter expert.
