Software Engineer II - Poland (Ruby)

Location: 100% remote for candidates in Poland; working hours aligned with Central European Time (CET).

Compensation: $5,300–$6,600 per month.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, performant, and maintainable software systems.
• Own features and components from design through deployment, ensuring quality, scalability, and resilience.
• Join the Identity & Access Management or API team, working on authentication, authorization, Keycloak, backend APIs, and application performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, Product Platform, IAM, DevOps, and SRE teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design sessions, code reviews, and technical standards development.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, implement robust fixes, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Understanding of software design principles, system architecture, and modern development practices.
• Experience building and maintaining production systems, including debugging and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and willingness to learn Ruby.
• Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and product-oriented thinking.
• Fluency in both Polish and English and availability to work from Poland during CET hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby or Rails, event-driven architectures, MySQL at scale, or internal platform and infrastructure teams.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve workflows, execution, or output quality.
