Activision 2027 Summer Internships - Animation

Location: In-person at hirify.global in Woodland Hills, California, United States; candidates must currently reside in the US or be open to relocating to the US.

Salary: $20.00–$50.00 per hour.

hirify.global develops sophisticated character, action, and cinematic animations for interactive entertainment, including the Call of Duty franchise.

What you will do

• Create in-game and cinematic character and action animations.
• Develop believable animated performances that support emotional and gameplay goals.
• Work with designers, character artists, and technical artists to bring characters to life.
• Support animation implementation in a game engine.
• For technical animation assignments, help develop asset deformations, control rigs, and scalable rigging solutions for characters, weapons, vehicles, props, or creatures.
• Participate in critique sessions and incorporate feedback.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s program and graduate between May 2027 and June 2028.
• Must be available for a 12-week internship beginning in mid-May or mid-June 2027.
• Must currently reside in the US or be open to relocating to the US.
• Portfolio or reel required, demonstrating relevant animation or technical animation work and an understanding of hirify.global’s visual style.
• Knowledge of traditional animation fundamentals, human movement, acting, and in-engine animation creation and implementation.
• For technical animation: experience with Maya or 3DS Max, Unity, Unreal, skin weighting, rigging, and dynamic deformation workflows.
