Senior Compliance Officer (Fintech)

Location: Onsite in Almaty, Kazakhstan, at 53 Abylai Khan Avenue

Salary: 1,200,000–2,000,000 KZT per month before taxes

What you will do

• Provide timely and consistent compliance advice on business activities and new financial products.
• Perform compliance monitoring and manage regulatory inspections, investigations, and inquiries.
• Advise on FATCA and CRS compliance and review related procedures.
• Respond to regulatory compliance questions from business departments.
• Coordinate with external consultants and lawyers.
• Establish controls, policies, and operating procedures that support legal and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, accountancy, business, or an equivalent field.
• At least 3 years of compliance experience in a financial institution, including exposure to retail matters.
• Strong knowledge of financial-market products, rules, and capital-markets regulations in the US and Kazakhstan.
• Good knowledge of compliance rules and regulations issued by AFSA.
• Good written and spoken Russian, Kazakh, and English.
• Analytical thinking, self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
