Head of Business Technology & Automation (AI)

Builds autonomous robots for inspecting industrial plants, including deployments in extreme environments.

What you will do

• Find sources of lost time, cash, and margin and determine whether to automate, change the system of record, or remove redundant processes.
• Build and deploy internal automations using n8n, Claude, APIs, ERP/CRM platforms, or other appropriate tools.
• Measure baseline and post-implementation results, including hours saved, cycle-time reductions, errors eliminated, and return on investment.
• Establish a cross-functional network of process owners across Commercial, Product, Operations, Finance, and R&D.
• Improve data quality at its source by working directly with process owners.
• Report productivity outcomes to the executive team and board while collaborating with IT Infrastructure and Data.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success redesigning cross-functional processes and managing organizational change with measurable results.
• Hands-on experience shipping automation or integration projects within the last 24 months.
• Proficiency with tools such as n8n, Make, or Workato, standard ERP/CRM platforms, APIs, and AI integrations.
• Experience establishing system-of-record policies that teams actively use and improving data quality at the source.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate with senior business and technical leaders, and prioritize operational impact on revenue.
• Willingness to travel frequently to the Zurich headquarters and collaborate with teams on-site.

Nice to have

• Technical or engineering degree and comfort working in hardware development environments.
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations, including PLM, ERP, and SOP frameworks.
• Experience scaling processes in a high-growth company or working with installed-base, entitlement, or recurring-revenue models.
• Familiarity with SAP, HubSpot, Wrike, Snowflake, Sigma, GitLab, HiBob, or Notion.
• Experience implementing internal AI training or adoption initiatives.
