Senior Blockchain Engineer (Java)

Location: Istanbul, Türkiye, with hybrid attendance at the Vadistanbul office two days per week during three weeks of each month; one week per month is fully remote. Additional remote working opportunities are available throughout August.

What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise-grade Java backend services, APIs, and microservices for digital asset products.
• Build scalable and resilient systems for wallet management, digital asset operations, custody workflows, and asset transfers.
• Implement blockchain business logic, including smart contract interactions, minting, and burning processes.
• Integrate external blockchain networks, custody providers, wallet providers, and third-party services.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, secure coding, operational readiness, production support, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, security specialists, product owners, and blockchain operations professionals in agile teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture.
• Strong experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, system integration, API design, and scalability patterns.
• Experience with stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, Agile organizations, and technical communication.
• Fluent English communication skills at C1 level or above. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
