Principal / Senior Animator - 3C/Gameplay (Game Animation)

Location: Onsite in Bothell, Irvine, Mountain View, or Vancouver

What you will do

• Design and produce 3D character actions across multiple animation styles.
• Develop in-game character movements using principles of body mechanics and motion.
• Review action assets submitted by outsourcing partners.
• Collaborate with the Lead Artist to define the game's action style.
• Create action design templates and production specifications.
• Coordinate across the production pipeline to maintain the product's art quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional action design experience on large-scale games.
• Strong foundation in animation design, cinematography, camera techniques, body mechanics, and movement rhythm for humanoid and non-humanoid characters.
• Excellent action design skills with the ability to create smooth and dynamic performances.
• Experience with animation engines and familiarity with action games.
• Deep understanding of impact feel and game feel in combat actions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
