AI-Augmented QA Engineer

Location: Remote from Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, or Jamaica; working hours aligned with U.S. business hours

What you will do

• Write and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and expand coverage across critical product workflows.
• Build regression tests that run automatically on every pull request, covering dashboards, detection workflows, device management, permissions, and settings.
• Own test-suite and CI-pipeline reliability by diagnosing flaky tests, managing test data, and improving staging stability.
• Use AI-assisted browser automation, Claude, and other LLM-based tools to explore edge cases and uncover bugs beyond scripted regression tests.
• Collaborate directly with frontend and backend engineers on testing requirements, failures, bugs, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of QA, software testing, or test automation experience preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Strong TypeScript skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable test code.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or a similar end-to-end testing framework.
• Strong understanding of web application testing, DOM interaction, network requests, and asynchronous behavior.
• Experience diagnosing flaky tests and creating or maintaining automated regression tests.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, debug issues, and learn AI tools for testing.

Nice to have

• Experience building end-to-end testing infrastructure from scratch and integrating tests into CI pipelines.
• Experience with test data management, parallelization, test reporting, multi-tenant applications, role-based access, and complex workflows.
• Experience testing B2B web applications and React applications.
• Familiarity with Claude or other AI/LLM-based development and testing tools.
• Familiarity with Sentry, GCP Stackdriver, or similar observability tools.
