Engineering Manager

Location: Onsite at the NYC office; applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Salary: $277,000–$346,000 annual salary plus target equity and benefits.

Suno is an AI music and consumer entertainment company building a platform for creating and experiencing music.

What you will do

• Lead a small team of fullstack product engineers working across backend, web, iOS, and Android.
• Own social features including notifications, profiles, the follow graph, sharing, comments, and engagement.
• Guide architecture for scalable social systems and mobile-first API design.
• Partner with product, design, and data science to identify social behaviors and commercial opportunities.
• Ship retention-driving features with metrics read-outs, logging, dogfooding, and post-launch follow-up.
• Hire, develop, and manage engineers through structured performance cycles.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience, including 2–4 years managing engineers.
• Demonstrable intuition for social products, network effects, and engagement mechanics.
• Technical depth to review code, evaluate trade-offs, guide architecture, and contribute to the codebase when needed.
• Experience creating structure in ambiguous 0-to-1 environments, preferably with consumer social products.
• Strong asynchronous and cross-functional communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the US and willingness to work onsite at the NYC office.

• Fullstack experience across mobile, web, and backend.
• Familiarity with network-effects and engagement-mechanics literature.
