Critical Environments Operator III (Data Center Operations): Maintaining and operating critical electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R, and building systems in a 24/7/365 data center environment with an accent on critical-load protection, alarm response, and maintenance coordination. Focus on performing critical switching and lockout/tagout, stabilizing equipment during incidents, coordinating vendors, and supporting root cause analysis.
Location: DFW3, Dallas–Fort Worth area; onsite in a 24/7/365 data center environment

What you will do
- Perform operations and maintenance activities for data center and assigned building systems.
- Track preventive and reactive maintenance, labor hours, and work orders in the CMMS.
- Respond to building system alarms while protecting the critical load and minimizing equipment damage.
- Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe-work-area setup for maintenance and contractor activities.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors and ensure maintenance and project work meets quality and safety standards.
- Support root cause analysis, capacity planning, KPI management, and emergency corrective maintenance.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
- Journeyman-level electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R skills gained through training, an associate degree, or technical facility maintenance experience.
- Experience with CMMS, work order control, subcontractor and vendor contract management, KPI management, and capacity planning.
- Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Excel; knowledge of equipment system interfaces and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and workload-management skills.
- Must be available for 24/7/365 operations and onsite extended hours during emergencies, including hurricanes.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD.
