MEP Procurement Engineer (MEP procurement/construction): Managing end-to-end procurement of MEP materials, equipment, systems, and subcontracted works with an accent on supplier sourcing, technical compliance, and commercial negotiations. Focus on reviewing MEP drawings and BOQs, coordinating procurement across multiple project teams, and preventing delays through supplier and delivery management.

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end procurement for MEP materials, equipment, systems, and related services.
  • Review MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical requirements to prepare procurement plans.
  • Source, evaluate, prequalify, and negotiate with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
  • Analyze technical and commercial quotations, prepare bid comparison sheets, and issue purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with MEP, Engineering, Projects, Finance, and Site teams to align procurement with project timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, deliveries, quality issues, cost-saving opportunities, and procurement reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Civil Engineering, preferably with an MEP specialization.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in MEP procurement, preferably in construction, real estate, contracting, or property development.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP systems.
  • Experience reading MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical submittals.
  • Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, contract management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; ERP or procurement systems experience is preferred.
