TL;DR
Contract Analyst Staff (Engineering, Procurement and Construction): Negotiating, drafting, and administering moderate to highly complex engineering, procurement, and construction contracts with an accent on contract compliance, risk mitigation, claims management, and stakeholder coordination. Focus on developing negotiation strategies, evaluating commercial terms, managing amendments and force majeure documentation, and protecting company interests.
Location: Onsite in Columbus, Ohio; work hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do
- Negotiate, draft, administer, and amend moderate to highly complex engineering, procurement, and construction contracts.
- Coordinate contract scopes and commercial terms with Legal, project controls, project management, construction, engineering, finance, accounting, and suppliers.
- Assess contract risks, develop mitigation strategies, enforce warranties, and protect company interests.
- Lead claims prevention, vendor pricing claim evaluation, settlement negotiations, and force majeure documentation.
- Develop contract templates, project procedures, supplier performance criteria, service levels, and final project reporting.
- Provide contract administration and analytical support to project and senior leadership, including reporting on contract health.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of related experience applying contracting principles; preferred experience includes 12 years in contract administration, subcontract administration, and procurement.
- Experience negotiating contracts for services, construction, engineering, materials, and equipment installation.
- Understanding of construction industry practices and engineering, procurement, and construction or construction management contract language.
- Experience with RFP/RFQ processes, change management, claims evaluation, negotiation, and flowing down prime contract terms.
- Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio, during the stated work schedule.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law degree, or global equivalent.
- Experience supporting industrial construction projects.
