Senior Category Manager, Automation & MRO (Robotics)

Location: Billund, Denmark; hybrid work with an average of 3 days per week in the office. Relocation support is not offered.

What you will do

• Develop and implement the global category plan for operational technologies, with a focus on automation and robotics.
• Lead the global MRO community and strengthen governance, compliance, standardisation, and supplier consolidation across manufacturing sites.
• Build a scalable supplier ecosystem through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and serve as the procurement point of contact for contracts and commercial alignment.
• Establish supply chain resilience and business continuity plans for critical suppliers.
• Connect emerging automation technologies with supplier capabilities to support future manufacturing needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement, category management, project management, or engineering experience within an international company.
• Experience managing spend portfolios of at least 100 mDKK.
• Experience building strategic supplier relationships and negotiating significant commercial agreements.
• Experience engaging senior management stakeholders, including L4-L5 stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with engineering and planning functions and working with automation and robotics suppliers.
• Ability to work from the Billund workplace in a hybrid arrangement; relocation support is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Coupa in procurement or sourcing.
• Experience conducting cost analysis for sourcing and supplier decisions.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 or Smart Factory initiatives.
