CDC Detection Engineer / Security Specialist (m/w/d)

What you will do

• Take technical responsibility for the Cyber Defense Center detection engineering process and further develop it.
• Improve detection and response capabilities, workflows, and toolchains within a global team.
• Implement and maintain alerting and detection rules.
• Support security analysts through real-time monitoring, event and alarm analysis, triage, and coaching.
• Collaborate with infrastructure operations teams, including Malware Defense and Vulnerability Management.
• Create documentation and advise projects on security tool integration and best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional cybersecurity experience, ideally in global companies.
• Experience building or developing Cyber Defense Center structures, including SIEM and SOAR.
• Ability to use scripting languages such as Python.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001 frameworks and standards.
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is advantageous.
