Senior Frontend Engineer (Svelte)

Location: Tokyo, Japan — Shibuya Headquarters. Relocation support to Japan and visa sponsorship are available.

Annual salary: JPY 8.5–12.5 million, including English Allowance and Physical Communication Bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship frontend features for the Tadrill cybersecurity platform.
• Architect and maintain a scalable, self-managed frontend framework using Svelte and SvelteKit.
• Turn complex security data into intuitive dashboards and actionable user insights.
• Monitor, test, optimize, and improve application performance, stability, and development efficiency.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product managers through implementation, reviews, discussions, and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, autonomous team environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience with modern frontend frameworks.
• Professional, personal, or strong-interest experience with Svelte.
• Experience maintaining and scaling B2B SaaS products where stability and user trust are important.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers in a cross-functional environment.
• Fluent English at CEFR B2 level or above; Japanese is not required.
• Proactive ownership, high learning agility, and interest in open-source or the technology community.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go or other backend languages.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and knowledge of distributed systems.
• Cybersecurity knowledge, especially email security, phishing simulations, or security awareness training.
• Experience integrating Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, including Gmail add-ons or Outlook add-ins.
• Technical project leadership, team leadership, or people management experience.

Hiring process

• Complete an online coding challenge using Svelte.
• Submit a CV and cover letter, followed by an HR interview.
• Complete two or three engineering interviews and a final interview with the CEO; there is no live coding session.
