What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend and web-platform features for hirify.global One DLP Edition.
• Develop the Secure Vault file-exchange solution for protecting sensitive enterprise data.
• Architect scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available services in AWS cloud environments.
• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and documentation with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Customer Success on high-quality user experiences.
• Participate in technical decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering culture improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience developing production-scale web applications with Python.
• Strong software development lifecycle experience, from system design through deployment and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and clean-code practices.
• Deep experience architecting and operating mission-critical AWS environments.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate effectively.
• Fluent English at CEFR B2 level or above; Japanese is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems or SaaS products.
• Familiarity with Go or interest in learning it.
• Cloud-security experience, including PII obfuscation and secure data-handling protocols.
• Computer Science or related technical degree, team leadership experience, or open-source and tech-community involvement.

Hiring process

• Complete an online coding challenge in Python; applications may be rejected for fewer than three years of professional Python experience or using another language.
• Submit a CV and cover letter, followed by an HR interview, two or three engineer interviews, and a CEO interview.
• The coding challenge is the only technical assessment; there are no live coding sessions.
