Senior Software Engineer (Python/Web Dev)

hirify.global is a Tokyo-based B2B SaaS and cloud-security company developing hirify.global One, a platform for enterprise access control, email filtering, archiving, and cloud security.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain hirify.global One features using Python and web technologies.
• Develop core Access Control, Single Sign-On, and Secure Browser capabilities for the Identity Edition.
• Architect scalable and fault-tolerant services for cloud environments.
• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and documentation through CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Customer Success on user experiences and technical decisions.
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and improve engineering practices.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience developing production-scale web applications with Python.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and distributed-system concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, and clean-code practices.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively.
• Fluent English at CEFR B2 level or above; Japanese is not required.
• Interest in open-source or technology community activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems or SaaS products.
• Knowledge of web security, access control, email systems, or storage systems.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Linux, macOS, or Unix-like environments.
• Computer Science or related technical degree.
• Team leadership experience.

Hiring process

• Complete an online coding challenge in Python.
• Submit a CV and cover letter, followed by an HR interview.
• Attend two or three engineering interviews and a final CEO interview; there are no live coding sessions.
